No one remembers the second & third runners up
After living in Raleigh for many years, it is no surprise to me that Raleigh and surrounding Triangle area cities continually take the top spots on this Forbes magazine list year after year.
While most American cities would revel at being named No. 3, Raleigh is back in the number one slot as the best place in America to do business and that’s right where we want to stay! Why not head down to the Raleigh Clarion for a few weeks and see what all the fuss is about. There’s plenty of emerging markets, and you’ll find a job in no time. With opportunities left, right and centre, now is a good time to move to the city; check out raleigh home builders to see what your next home could be.
Highly Educated Workforce
Forbes ranks cities based on the cost of doing business, (Raleigh was 18 percent?below the national average by the way) and a well educated work force (42 percent of the Raleigh labor force has college degrees).
These attributes make North Carolina’s capital an attractive spot for employers according to Forbes. The net migration rate to Raleigh was the second highest in the U.S. over the past five years. In fact, since 1996, there has been a consistent, positive net inflow of people to the Raleigh area.
